Car Supernatural
The Edge by Catherine Coulter, baffled by a seemingly supernatural connection to his critically injured sister, an FBI special agent heads to the Oregon coast in search of a more plausible explanation for his sudden ESP, only to discover more puzzling mysteries. FBI agent Ford MacDougal -- "Mac" -- is recovering from a terrorist car bombing when his sister appears to purposely drive her Porsche off an Oregon cliff. Curiously, Mac felt as if he were in the car with her as she sailed toward the sea, even though he was really in a hospital bed on the other side of the country. By the time Mac arrives in Portland, his sister -- Dr. Jilly Bartlett -- has come out of the coma she's been in for four days. But after a few scant hours with her brother, Jilly vanishes without a trace.
Hostel/The Mothman Prophecies (Widescreen) "Hostel" - Presented by genre master Quentin Tarantino ("Kill Bill, Vol. 1 & 2") and directed by Eli Roth ("Cabin Fever"), "Hostel" is a shocking and relentless film in the tradition of "Saw" about two American backpackers (Jay Hernandez, "Friday Night Lights" and Derek Richardson, "Dumb And Dumberer") in Europe who find themselves lured in as victims of a murder-for-profit business. Paxton and Josh, two college friends, are lured by a fellow traveler to what's described as a nirvana for American backpackers - a particular hostel in an out-of-the-way Slovakian town stocked with Eastern European women as desperate as they are gorgeous. The two friends arrive and soon easily pair off with exotic beauties Natalya and Svetlana. In fact, too easily... Initially distracted by the good time they're having, the two Americans quickly find themselves trapped in an increasingly sinister situation that they will discover is as wide and as deep as the darkest, sickest recess of human nature itself - if they survive. "The Mothman Prophecies" - From the director of Arlington Road comes a spine-tingling, super-natural thriller based on actual events that will rattle your nerves and shake your beliefs. Distraught by the sudden, tragic death of his wife (Debra Messing), John Klein (Richard Gere), a journalist for The Washington Post, finds himself mysteriously drawn to a small West Virginia town when his car inexplicably strands him. Rescued by the sympathetic but skeptical local police sergeant (Laura Linney), he soon learns that many of the town's residents have been beset by bizarre events, including sightings of an eerie "moth-like" entity, similar to the one seen by his late wife. Investigating further and having his own terrifying encounters with the creature, he becomes obsessed with the idea that this supernatural being can predict impending calamities and is trying to warn the town of one.
